NOVA Cat Clinic

I called to attempt to make an appointment for my three resident cats and two fosters. I go to another cat clinic in Alexandria, But I saw that this one was closer so I figured I would give it a try. One of my fosters has an adopter, who asked if their information can be listed on the adoptee documents. When I asked the receptionist if that is possible, her response was that they don’t give discounts to rescues. Unprovoked. Never mentioned anything about a discount. And then when I told her I didn’t ask for a discount, I asked about the owner listed on documents, she said “I don’t know, we’ve never done that before.” Well, I can appreciate someone admitting they don’t know something, I would’ve also appreciated her putting me on hold to go find out and ask someone that would know. I rather just make the drive to other vet after this.

I can’t speak to how there care about of animals is, I never made it past the extremely rude and unsympathetic receptionist who took my call. I can only say that my experience has been if the first you and Canter had a business is rude and unsympathetic It doesn’t get better as you move more inward of the operation.

I have taken two cats to NOVA and am so grateful for their dedication to not only the highest level veterinary care but also customer/anxious cat parent service. I highly recommend them, particularly for cat parents who may be traveling internationally with their pet, as they have the process of obtaining the required health certificates down to a T. Their prices are very reasonable given the area and excellent quality of service and care I've received.

I really appreciate cat-only clinics — the staff are always so attuned to feline needs and provide wonderful care. I’ve been taking my cat to NOVA Cat Clinic for three years and highly recommend it to other cat parents. The vets and techs are sensitive to my cat’s preferences, gentle during exams, and take time to explain everything clearly. When my cat shows signs of stress, they never push; instead, they suggest coming back another day for bloodwork if needed, which makes visits much more comfortable for all of us. The clinic itself is calm, clean, and clearly designed with cats’ comfort in mind. I’m so grateful to have such a compassionate and knowledgeable team caring for my cat.

My wife and I have been utilizing your services for our pet care needs since we have owned our pet Shadow. No complaints on that regard. Your clinic and your staff have always treated us and Shadow with kindness and respect. We are truly thankful for finding a pet clinic as nice as yours.
